Professor Zhao is an international relations scholar who has a rich academic and research experience in the field of foreign affairs and world governance in China. He is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Politics and International Studies, Central China Normal University, where he has worked in teaching, research, and doctoral supervision of international politics.

Professor Zhao is the author of research devoted to the foreign policy of China, global governance and international strategic relations. He has written four books on academic topics, such as Research on the Effectiveness of the U.S. Military Aid, and dozens of scholarly articles in both Chinese and English. His scholarship has been published in major academic journals such as Contemporary International Relations and Southeast Asian Studies to add to the scholarly debate on international affairs in the world.

Professor Zhao has contributed greatly to the field of international relations research and perceptions of major power dynamics in modern world politics through his publications and academic leadership.
