𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐋 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐠!

Ms. Choshani Dalukdeniya, one of our faculty members, won the People's Choice award, as part of the Team MindX Lab® from the University of Reading, at the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme 2022 (YES22) held in UK recently.

YES is an innovative global competition developed to raise awareness among Master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, research fellows and technicians how ideas can be commercialised. She, along with her colleagues, pitched their idea for an alternative treatment of mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. The treatment is embedded in a sustainable delivery method – a film that is absorbed in the mouth – which they found to cause fewer side effects and have significantly less environmental impact than traditional forms of antidepressant.
