Area of focus

Software Engineering

The main areas of research in Software Engineering direction includes semantic and service-oriented software engineering, bridging the gap between the business processes and systems, developing system developing practical and cost-effective approaches to requirements engineering, search-based software engineering, software architecture modeling and specification, software cost estimation, verification and validation, agile software development and engineering the development of service-oriented and knowledge-based systems.

The research related to software engineering is conducted with close industry contacts using Empirical methods, including surveys, experiments and case studies.

Business Intelligence

The research lies at the intersection of network science and business intelligence. Our application domains include financial risk management, social media analytics, marketing, and open source innovation. We first intend to derive analytical and empirical insights from the analyses of various real-world networks such as organization works and social networks. Based on such insights we aim to develop network-based business intelligence techniques and information systems for supporting decision making in various business domains.
