A Bharatanatyam Workshop by the Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education

The Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education organized a 3-day Bharatanatyam Dance workshop for the first time, aiming to provide students with a holistic educational experience. Going beyond traditional classroom learning, the workshop fostered creativity and cultural appreciation.ย  Students received an opportunity to immerse themselves in the artistry and cultural heritage of Bharatanatyam, theย classical Indian dance form known for its intricate movements, expressive gestures, and rhythmic footwork, that leads to enhancedย physical and psychological well-being.ย 

The panel of dance professionals featured Mrs. T. Geethanjali as the esteemed resource person. Dr. S. Joniton served as the coordinator of the event that took place last week, and the workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. A.W.S. Chandana, Head of the Department, DSSPE.
