Student Workshops
The first workshop of Level-UP Innovate, the Workshops series specially created for third-year students to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitude toward innovative thinking was successfully conducted on Wednesday 01st of June 2022 at the Main auditorium- Faculty of Technology. For the first workshop of the series, Prof. A.W. Wijeratne from the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences shared his experience in Inventions as a Resource person.
The workshop was organized in joint collaboration with the Industrial Collaboration Unit and the Career Guidance Cell of the Faculty of Technology.
IET Introduction session was successfully held online on the 2nd of May, 2022, for the 2nd and 3rd-year students of Engineering Technology and Biosystems Technology. Ms Thilini Wasundara and Mr Priyanga Ambanwala were the resource persons for this session, and they presented their volunteering experience of IET with the benefits of IET membership.
Faculty of Technology of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka has organized a Workshop on "Making a Professional Resume" for the 2017/2018 (Third year) batch who has to complete industrial training in the next semester. This was conducted by the academics of Department of Engineering Technology on 23rd March 2022 via ZOOM online platform.

The Sri Lanka Office of the University of Tokyo has organized a networking and information sharing session on the Study inJapan Global Network project of the MEXT, Japan in collaboration with the Faculty of Technology, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. This session was conducted on 24th February 2022 from 8.30 am to 10.00 am for the first-year students of the Faculty of Technology via ZOOM online platform

In order to develop positive attitudes of 1st year undergraduate students in Sabaragamuwa University towards study and fully engage them in career planning from the beginning of their life in University, the Career Guidance Unit of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka has organized a subsequent webinar series for the 1st year undergraduates of Faculty of Technology starting from 26th November 2020.
The first webinar was “Vision for the New Beginning" which was conducted by Mr. Deepal Wijayasekara, Career Guidance Counselor.
