ARS 2021

ARS 2021

11th Annual Research Session (ARS 2021) of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) was held on the 21st of December 2021. This is the annual event of SUSL and provided a solid platform to disseminate innovative research findings of the academics, postgraduate students and undergraduate students who are attached to different faculties of the university. This will be a milestone in their research careers. This offered a very good opportunity to the participants to present their research findings to a wider community of academics of SUSL.

This was featured by a motivational keynote speech to fire the young minds on “How to become a successful researcher” by Prof. Dhammika Herath, Department of Sociology, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka who is widely known in his field for the impact and innovative nature of his research contributions to peace and conflict, post-conflict reconciliation, religion and conflict, peace education, development, democracy, and governance.

Due to the prevailing Covid 19 pandemic situation, the 11th Annual research session has been held in virtual mode.  Mixture of recorded and live sessions were conducted via ZOOM. Seven abstracts from the academic staff members of the university who have completed their post-graduate studies in local and international universities, 21 abstracts from postgraduate students attached to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and 24 abstracts from the poster presentation session from the under-graduate students attached to SUSL were presented in the session this year. This year’s Annual research session was exciting and scientifically challenging and the organizing committee extends their gratitude to everyone who supported for successfully conducting the 11th ARS.
