Conference Objectives

• Obtain diverse international perspectives to understand the unique attributes carrying outstanding universal value of Sri Lanka's Tea Landscape.

• Compare with other tea growing landscapes in Asia to see what are the similarities and uniqueness and to justify why Sri Lanka's Tea Landscape stand out among other tea growing landscapes and thereby to strengthen Sri Lanka's nomination by highlighting its unique attributes and shared heritage.

• Uplift both the tea and tourism industries

• To bring forth sustainable capitalizing avenues for tea stakeholders to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

• Establish an Edu-tourism platform for the tea cultural landscape to locate Sri Lanka in the global tea and tourism map.

• To benchmark the active participation of CCF in conservation and nation-building process in collaboration with universities and research institutions.

• Local and international tea stakeholders, academics, postgraduates, graduates, and research students.

• Industrialists, professionals, and policymakers in tea, tourism and culture, and heritage conservation.
