The Faculty Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC) of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized a workshop on ‘Learning Management System
The students of 2015/2016 batch successfully organized an Extension program for the subject of Agricultural Extension(AB 22012) as a continuous assessment under the guidance of Ms.R.A.N.Perera and Ms.M.S.Elapata.
The Department of Agribusiness Management of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized a mini research forum on 25th June 2019. The forum was conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences with the participation of Year II Semester I students of the Food Business Management.
"The first year first semester students successfully organized a street drama under the guidance of Prof. D.A.M De Silva, Dr. G.D.K.Kumara and Ms. R.A.N.Perera. The motive of the drama was to aware the villagers on the control of the Fall Army Worm". The drama was held on 31st July 2019 at the Pabahinna fair.
Ms. K.K.H.M. Rathnayake, Lecturer (Probationary), Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has won the best paper award for the outstanding quality
Dr. S H P Malkanthi has participated in the GGEC19: RMIT Gender Accounting and Accountability International Conference 2019, at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia during 23-24 October 2019
Ms. M.P.Taniya Sankalpana a final year student won the best student presenter award at the 2nd South Asia Conference on Multidisciplinary Research 2019(SAMR’19) conference held on 08-09th November 2019.
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with the Faculty Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC) of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences conducted a one-day workshop on " Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)” on 25th November 2019. The workshop was conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
A team led by Prof. D.A.M. De Silva, including Mr. P. Sivashankar, Ms. M.S. Elapata, Ms. K.K.H.M. Rathnayake, Ms. B.M.R.L. Basnayake,M. Sandamith, I. Wickramarathna, S. Kalhara, P. Madushanka from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, participated the 5th International Conference on Dry Zone Agriculture (ICDA 2019)
W.M.T.B Weddagala presented the findings on “Investigate the Product Harm Crisis in Ceylon Cinnamon Value Chain” at International Conference on Agriculture, Food Security and Safety (AgroFood 2019) which was organized by iconference. Conference was held at Galle Face Hotel Colombo on 7 - 8 November 2019.
A group of second year undergraduates of B.Sc in Food Business Management degree program in the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka has become 2nd runners up in the "ADCON 2019'' Inter University Advertising Competition organized by the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Ruhuna, on 6th February 2020.
