Welcome to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka was initially established at Rahangala in 1995 and was shifted to the main premises at Belihuloya in 2001. Faculty offers B.Sc. Agricultural Sciences and Management, a four year degree which provides specializations in Agribusiness Management, Commercial Horticulture, Plantation Management and Livestock Production.

A workshop on "Social Responsibility and Ethical Behaviour of Undergraduates"
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized a one-day workshop on " Social Responsibility and Ethical Behaviour of Undergraduates” on13th November 2018.The workshop was conducted at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
Intensive programme for new intake- 2017/18 academic year - Faculty of Agricultural sciences
Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is conducting an intensive programme for the new students’ intake 2017/18 with the collaboration of all three departments of faculty. The sessions organized by the Department of Agribusiness Management with related to the programme were designed by the academic staff under the supervision of Prof. D.A.M. De Silva, the head of department.
An awareness programme for Industry Stakeholders
An awareness programme was held on 5th March 2019, at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences to make aware the industry expertise on Programme Review (PR) and Self Evaluation Report (SER) writing process of the Faculty. A total of six (06) industry stakeholders representing New Aquaculture Development Centre-Udawalawa, Chello Dairy Products (Pvt) Ltd. Godakawela, Sabaragamuwa Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Ratnapura, Amazon Trading (Pvt) Ltd. Colombo, In-service Training Institute-Balangoda and Department of Agriculture, Sabaragamuwa Province participated to this programme.
