I am delighted to recall the 25 years history of the Faculty of

Management Studies in very few words at this Silver Jubilee of the
faculty in the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Since it

commenced in 1996 with two departments, namely Business
Management and Accounting & Finance, very few faculty members

with less experience had to solve the problems we had to face in
the past. As a result of our cohesive effort, we were able to get
through the difficult period. Today I am proud to observe that the

faculty has grown to “A” graded faculty under the present
management due to new technologies and young, intelligent

academic staff with their extraordinary devotion. It is my great
pleasure to see some of our faculty products have become

Professors and Ph.D. Holders who can direct the faculty towards a
great position. I am sure that the Faculty of Management Studies

will be a knowledge hub for the nation soon.
