As the first professor in the department of Tourism

Management and the faculty of Management Studies it

is with immense pleasure for me to wish the faculty of

management studies on her silver jubilee. After

commencing with two departments under the leadership

of Professor J.W.D. Somasundara, the founder Vice

Chancellor, today the faculty has risen as one of the

leading management faculties in Sri Lankan Universities

and is rich with 4 departments, 7 degree programmes

and very promising young true academics. I wish the

faculty a more prosperous future.
