I earned my BSc in Agriculture with a specialization in Animal Science (2nd Class Upper Division) from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, in 2014, followed by an MSc in Animal Science from the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2016. I was awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship in 2019 to pursue my PhD in Reproductive Physiology at the Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, which I obtained in 2024. I have four years of experience as a Lecturer (Grade II) in the vocational sector from 2015 to 2019 and served as a temporary teaching assistant in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Ruhuna from 2014 to 2015.

 My research interests include reproductive physiology and bovine in vitro embryo production. My research skills encompass hormone measurement techniques such as ELISA and TRFIA, as well as sperm analysis, acrosome reaction assessment, sperm hyperactivation, and in vitro embryo production. Additionally, I have solid experience with imaging techniques like fluorescence and confocal microscopy, along with foundational knowledge of microbiological concepts and laboratory procedures.
