W.W.S. Thrishalaa Warnasooriya has graduated with B.A. (Hons.) in Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2019. She completed her MSc and PGD in Information Management at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in 2024. She is reading for another MSSc in Library and Information Science at University of Kelaniya.

She started her academic career as a teacher at Lyceum International School, Wattala during 2013-2014. After her graduation, she joined Esoft Metro Campus, Colombo 04 in 2019 – 2020, with her outstanding capacity, she joined the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya 2020- 2021. She also served as a visiting lecturer – in the Diploma in Information Management andTechnology (DIMT) – at University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2022. As a university academic since 2020, her capacity for human library initiatives, green library initiatives, modern trends in library services, information literacy and reading psychology are highlighted through her research interests and publications. Currently, she is serving as an academic at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
