    Profile

  • Professor Sanath P. Lamabadusuriya, is an academic, consultant pediatrician and an Emeritus Professor of Paediatrics, University of Colombo. He was the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo and is one of the foremost paediatricians in Sri Lanka. He was also the Founder Professor of Paediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine University of Ruhuna and also at present the Visiting Senior Professor at Faculty of Medicine ,Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He was the first clinician to obtain a research degree in Sri Lanka (Ph.D. London).He is the only Sri Lankan domiciled in Sri Lanka to receive a Royal Honour from Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth 11. At present he is rendering his services as the Consultant for the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
