Mrs. Nadeera Jayathunga is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology attached to the Department of Social Sciences. The main teaching areas come under the subfields of Sociology such as Sociological Theory, Sociology of Social Problems, Social Inequality, Advanced Sociological Theory, Introduction to Sociology and Anthropology, Counseling, and Guidance. Social Problems, Family Counseling, and Gender are research interests of her. She serves as a Psychological Counselor at the Sith Arana Counseling Center focusing on both University and Community.
