Sri Lanka Journal of Geography and Environmental Management attracts submissions from scholars focusing upon theoretical, experimental, policy, and practitioner issues within the fields of GEM. The journal's contents reflect its integrative approach including primary research articles, discussion of current issues, empirical studies, literature reviews, case studies, conceptual models, reports, and book reviews.

• The SLJGEM will be published by the Department of Geography and Environmental Management, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
• The SLJGEM will be published in both printed and online versions.
• Every volume of this journal will consist of two [02] issues. Every issue will consist of minimum five [05] papers. Each issue will be a running issue and all officially accepted manuscripts will be immediately published online.
• The language of the journal is English.
• Papers accepted for publication are double-blind peer reviewed to ensure academic quality. (Criteria for reviewing include whether the title is suitable, abstract is acceptable, background/introduction is sufficient, research problems and objectives are clear and justifiable, review of theoretical and empirical literature are acceptable, the methodology is adequate, results and discussion are appropriate, conclusions and implications are sufficient, originality and contribution to the field and list of references, formatting, language, plagiarism etc. in line with journal’s specifications).
