    Human Library Project: Event 05

    The 5th “Human Library Event” organized by the library, SUSL was successfully held on 24thJanuary 2023 at 10. 00 am at the auditorium, Faculty of Geomatics, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Belihuloya. The 5th human book was award-winning writer Mr. Mahinda Prasad Masimbula.
    The event was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, the deans of faculties, academic staff, administrative officers, non-academic staff and students of the university. Distant readers could read his biography via the official Facebook page of the library, SUSL.

    Phase 1 of the New Faculty Complex, Faculty of Technology, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka declared open on Thursday 26th January 2023 upon the invitation of Prof. K. R. Koswattage the Dean, Faculty of Technology by the Vice chancellor Senior Professor Udaya Rathnayake and Country Director ADB Sri Lanka Resident Mission Mr. Chen Chen at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

    Felicitation Ceremony for Mr. H.G. Piyasiri

    Mr. H.G.Piyasiri, the Senior Instructor in English, is one of the most senior lecturers affiliated with the Faculty of Management Studies, SUSL, and retired after an astounding service period of three decades. The faculty organized a felicitation ceremony to tributehim on 10 th January 2023 at the faculty auditorium. Mr. H.G.Piyasiri and his family, the Vice Chancellor; Professor Udaya Rathnayake, the Dean; Professor Athula C. Gnanapala, and academic and non-academic support staff members and students of the FMS graced the occasion.

  • FMS launches the second issue of Volume Two of the South Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality (SAJTH)

    The second issue of Volume Two of the South Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality (SAJTH) was successfully launched on the 10th of January 2023. The issue was dedicated to Mr. H.G. Piyasiri, Senior Instructor in English, FMS on his retirement, appreciating the phenomenal service he had rendered to the faculty and university for three decades. Thus,  in this volume, the SAJTH has chosen to explore how to integrate technology and human resources for the development of the tourism sector in the region.

    Ceremonial Opening of the Innovation Center and Learning Commons of the Faculty of Applied Sciences

    The Innovation Center and Learning Commons of the Faculty of Applied Sciences was declared open on October 20, 2022, with the graceful presence of Senior Professor R.M.U.S.K. Rathnayake, the Vice Chancellor of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
    Mr. Saman Uyangoda, the Registrar of SUSL, Professor E.P.N. Udayakumara, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Deans of sister faculties, Directors of centers, the members of the academic, academic-support, and administrative staff, and the students participated in the event.

  • BScHons in Computing and Information Systems receives Grade ‘A’ in the Programme Review by QAC-UGC

    It is with great pride and pleasure we announce that the BSc Honours Degree Programme in Computing and Information Systems offered by the Department of Computing and Information Systems, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka received Grade "A," - the maximum level of accomplishment and quality expected of a degree programme in the Programme Review conducted by the Quality Assurance Council of the University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka.
