There is no Application Processing Charge (APC) to submit or publish in this journal.
AJF applies mandatory check on plagiarism as the first step of the desk review. It is required to confirm that you are submitting your original work, that all rights in the work belong to you, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and has not already been published elsewhere. Further, it is required to certify that you have obtained all necessary permissions for the reproduction of any copyright works not owned by you.
Editor has right to take the final decision to accept or reject the submission.
Before submitting your manuscript to Asian Journal of Finance, please ensure you have read the Aims and Scope .
Research Papers / Technical Papers: The articles must be based on original empirical research in themes such as banking, insurance, and finance etc. Manuscripts should be between 6,000 and 9,000 words including references and abstract. Title and the abstract should be less than 30 words and 300 words respectively.
Case Study / Practitioner Papers: The articles should fall between 3,500 and 5, 000 words excluding references and abstract.
Book Reviews: Reviews of recently published books on themes related to . The word range should be between 1000-1500 words.
All papers are sent out for review following a preliminary triage to eliminate submission banking, insurance, and finance unsuitable for AJF. A covering letter is important to assist the Editor in his/her preliminary evaluation, and hence please indicate why you think the paper is suitable for publication.
The journal's policy is to have manuscripts reviewed by a minimum of two expert reviewers. AJF utilizes a double-blind peer review process in which the reviewer and authors' names and information are withheld from the other. Reviewers may at their own discretion opt to reveal their names to the author in their review but our standard policy practice is for their identities to remain concealed. All manuscripts are rigorously reviewed as swiftly as possible. The reviewers make comments to the author and recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief, who then makes the final decision.
The Editor or members of the Editorial Board may occasionally submit their own manuscripts for publication in the journal. In such cases, the peer review process will be managed by alternative members of the Board and the submitting Editor/Board member will have no involvement in the decision-making process.
Papers should only be submitted for consideration once consent is given by all contributing authors. Those submitting papers should carefully check that all those whose work contributed to the paper are acknowledged as contributing authors. The list of authors should include all those who can legitimately claim authorship, namely all those who:
1. Made a substantial contribution to the concept or design of the work; or acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data,
2. Drafted the article or revised it critically for important intellectual content,
3. Approved the version to be published,
4. Each author should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content.

All parties who have made substantive contributions to the article should be listed as authors. Principal authorship, authorship order, and other publication credits should be based on the relative scientific or professional contributions of the individuals involved, regardless of their status. A student is usually listed as principal author on any multiple-authored publication that substantially derives from the student's dissertation or thesis.
All contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in an Acknowledgements section. Examples of those who might be acknowledged include a person who provided purely technical help, or a department chair who provided only general support.
AJF requires all authors to acknowledge their funding consistently under a separate heading.
It is the policy of AJF to require a declaration of conflicting interests from all authors enabling a statement to be carried within the paginated pages of all published articles. Please ensure that a 'Declaration of Conflicting Interests' statement is included at the end of your manuscript, after any acknowledgements and prior to the references. If no conflict exists, please state that 'The Author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest'.
Infringement of copyright, plagiarism, other breaches of best practices in publication etc. are strictly taken note of by AJF. Since we aim to strictly protect the rights of our authors we always probe into claims of plagiarism and or misuse of already published articles. Similarly, we aim to protect the Journal's reputation against malpractices. Special software may be resorted to check the originality of submitted articles. In the event of any article having breached any of the accepted conditions and or if the authorship is contested, AJF has the right to take action including, but not limited to publishing an erratum or correction; taking up the issue/s with the relevant head of department or dean of the author's institution and/or relevant academic bodies or societies, or taking appropriate legal action.
Prior publication: Any previously published material is not generally accepted by AJF.
Microsoft Word is the preferred format for your manuscript, with the text being 1.5 spaced throughout with a minimum of 3cm for left and right margins and 5cm at head and foot. Text should be standard 12 point Times New Roman. There is no need for a specific template when submitting your manuscript in Word. However, please ensure your heading levels are clear, and the sections clearly defined.
AJF adheres to the APA 7th edition reference style. Please review the guidelines on APA to ensure your manuscript conforms to this reference style.
