MSc in Surveying Sciences – 2022 Intake A Tayler-made Postgraduate Programme

The Faculty of Geomatics of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is the pioneering faculty awarding a Bachelor of Science Honours (Surveying Sciences) degree in the Sri Lankan University system. In accordance with the latest developments related to Geomatics, in collaboration with the Faculty of Graduate Studies, the Faculty of Geomatics of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka commenced a postgraduate degree in Surveying Sciences in 2017, to meet the needs of the industry and the rapid development of technology. This year, 2022, we are recruiting its 5 th intake. The Master of Science in Surveying Sciences programme provides an intensive study of the technical, analytical and professional aspects of modern and advanced surveying, geodesy, management, and environmental subjects along with courses in Remote Sensing, GIS, and Photogrammetry.

The course modules are chosen with the intent to reinforce the key fundamentals in Surveying Sciences, whilst developing learners’ understanding of current issues and professional aspects. Furthermore, this programme is also intended/suited for engineers, and environmental and urban infrastructure professionals seeking skills in using and managing rapidly developing geospatial data technologies. Therefore, this will enhance your career progression in the field of surveying sciences and provide you with the necessary set of skills to succeed in managerial positions.
