Inauguration Ceremony and the Orientation Programme of the 2020/2021 Intake

The Faculty of Geomatics of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka successfully hosted the inauguration ceremony of the Orientation Programme for the 2020/2021 intake on 9 th August 2022 via Zoom platform. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. R.M.U.S.K. Rathnayake, Vice Chancellor, SUSL; Mr. P.G.V. Abeyratne, Dean, Faculty of Geomatics; Dr. Sandun J. Perera, Deputy
Senior Student Counselor, Faculty of Applied Sciences; Dr. H. Divithure, Head, Department of Surveying and Geodesy, Faculty of Geomatics; Dr. G.S.N. Perera, Head, Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Faculty of Geomatics; Dr. P.G.R.N.I. Pussella, Senior Lecturer, Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Faculty of Geomatics; Dr. N.M.P.M. Piyasena, Deputy Senior Student Counselor,
Department of Surveying and Geodesy, Faculty of Geomatics.
The whole orientation programme will continue till the 31 st of August 2022 with the precious presence of the most renowned resource persons. The prime expectation of the orientation programme is to welcome new undergraduates as they begin their new academic phase to pursue their dreams and discover the destination of their voyage in academia. The programme further supports the
young scholars to adapt to the university system with complete transparency towards the benefits and facilities they are gaining as undergraduates.
