Hydrography Seminar in Parallel with World Hydrography Day 2021

On the 21st of June each year the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) celebrates World Hydrography Day (WHD). This event serves as an opportunity to increase public awareness of the vital role that hydrography plays in everyone’s lives. In parallel to the world hydrography day celebration 2021, an online hydrographic seminar has organized by the Faculty of Geomatics, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka with the collaboration of the National Hydrographic Office of National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA).

Due to the prevailing COVID Pandemic, the entire event has planned as an online event to maintain the social distancing. Several speeches will be made by the industry experts and faculty staff related to the WHD 2021 theme "One hundred years of international cooperation in hydrography". The main objective of this event is to promote involvement among professionals, industry and academia for the advancement in the field of Hydrography.
The session has planned on 21 st June from 10-12AM (IST) and the link is given bellow.

Professionals from various agencies, university academics, hydrographic alumina of the Faculty of Geomatics, current and prospective hydrographic specialization students and stakeholders will be the main participants.
