Best Researcher of the Faculty 2021

Dr. H.M.I Prasanna from the Department of Surveying and Geodesy has been awarded as the best researcher of the year 2021 in the “University Day” celebration held on 2nd February 2022.Dr. Prasanna is a senior lecturer in the Department of Surveying and Geodesy at the Faculty of Geomatics, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, and the immediate past Dean of the Faculty.

He received BSc in Surveying Sciences (in 2002) from SUSL, MPhil in Geodesy (in 2008) from University of Sri Jayewardenepura and PhD in Geodesy (in 2014) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests cover broad areas of Geodesy with a major focus on geopotential modelling and geoid determination.
