Exclusive Academic Partnership: South Asian Journal of Marketing

The Faculty of Management Studies of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka was appointed as the exclusive academic partner of the South Asian Journal of Marketing (SAJM) published by the Emerald Publishing.  SAJM is a research journal owned by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and managed and by the Faculty of Management Studies.

The ceremonial launch was held at Hilton Colombo Residences where Professor G. L. Pieris, Minister of Education graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Moreover, Tony Roche, Publishing & Strategic Relationships Director, Emerald Publishing, Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunga, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), and Professor Athula Gnanapala, Acting Vice Chancellor, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka attended the event.

The editorial team of SAJM comprises an eminent panel of researchers representing various South Asian countries. Dr. N. Jayantha Dewasiri heads the journal as Editor-in-Chief with Dr. Thilini Chathurika Gamage (Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka), Professor Kashif Saeed (GIFT University, Pakistan), Professor Sudhir Rana (FIIB, India) and Dr. G Dinesh Samarasinghe assisting as Editors of the journal. Mr. Zubair Ahmed, Professor Nazmul Hossain, Dr. Thesara Jayawardane, Dr. Samantha Ratnayake, Dr. Maduka Udunuwara, Professor Aarti Saini, Professor Roshee Lamichhane and Dr. Alka Rathore are working on the editorial board as Associate Editors representing Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal and Bhutan respectively.

The launch was followed by the signing an MOU between Faculty of Management Studies and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing for the exclusive academic partnership for SAJM in Sri Lanka.
