    Profile

  • Ms.T.P Liyanage is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. She has obtained her B.Ed. in the field of Education in 2002. She received her Master of Education in 2015. In 2020, she obtained her MPhil in the field of Physical Education. 

    She has nearly nine years of experience as an academic lecturer at the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka Since September 2013. She is the Manager and the Coordinator, of the “SPIRIT ERASMUS” CBHE project at the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. And also she is a National Advisory Committee Member for International Conference on Science, Engineering and Management (ICSEM-2021). She is a member of the National Curriculum Development Committee (Health & Physical Education) in Sri Lanka.

    She is the Course Coordinator of Higher Diploma in Physical Education and Sports Coaaching (HDPESC) in SUSL. And she is the course Developer of  Higher Diploma in Physical Education and Sports Coaaching (HDPESC), Advance Certificate in Physical Education and Sports Coaaching, and Certificate Course in  Traditional Sports and Outdoor Recreation in SUSL.

    Her current research interests include curriculum development in physical education, policy development in physical education, legacy and traditional cultural sports, and new trends in physical education.
