Profile

Jeganenthiran is a Lecturer (prob) at Sabaragamuwa University, Visiting lecturer at National Institute of Sports Science,  Director of coaching of Sri Lanka Track and Field Coaches Association and coaching committee member of TID project (ongoing) by Ministry of Sports. Jeganenthiran completed his undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Teesside from United Kingdom. He now lectures in the areas of Sports Physiology, Theory and Methodology of Sports Training, Strength and Conditioning, and Athletics. Prior to Sabaragamuwa University, Jeganenthiran worked for Ministry of Sports and various national and regional sporting organisations for over 13 years in the areas of high performance and athlete development.

Jeganenthiran has an extensive coaching background, coaching athletics at various levels in Sri Lanka and the UK. He has extensive experience in supporting the training process to elite and professional athlete populations where he has provided coaching and scientific support to a broad range of sports, particularly athletics. Jeganenthiran is also an experienced coach educator and provides guidance and delivery to sport governing bodies and private organizations to support the professional development of sport coaches, particularly at National Institute of Sports Science.
