    Research Interests

  • Linking diet and nutrition in a healthy aspect is my objective in conducting research and further studies. I have a great interest in studying the chemistry of compounds on food items and their metabolites especially the interaction with gut microbiota, how they can contribute in preventing diseases and their contribution in gene expression. This can aid in designing microbiota-targeted interventions (e.g. functional foods) to target desired activity.
