    Profile

  • I would like to work under pressure conditions with positive attitude.

    I have a keen interest in Teaching and Learning in the university level, involving with any social group and neglecting their ethnicity or culture. Especially I would like to teach in the university as well as to do development oriented researches in the field of Conflict and  Peace Studies, Gender Studies, International Relations, Political Ideology, Political Theory, Conflicts Resolutions & Security Studies, and Democracy in Global Context, Voting Behavior and Problems of constitutionalism in Sri Lanka.

    I would like to serve my country in accordance with my knowledge and experience and share them with our people.

    EXPERIENCE IN THE PAST:

    Worked as a LECTURER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT in YOUNG DIRIYA PROGRAMME III (GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME − TARUNA ARUNA) at AKMEEMANA TRAINING CENTER in GALLE DISTRICT– (2007)

    Worked as a SENIOR PROGRAMME ASSISTANT – HAMBANTOTA in WORLD UNIVERSITY SERVICES OF CANADA (WUSC) – (2006–2007)

    Coordinate the WUSC − YITP Programme in Hambantota district.

    Coordinate with top level government officers.

    Organize workshops and  train youths

    Act as a resource person in the field of “ Gender  and Development” and    “Entrepreneurship Development” at these workshops

    Coordinate with other INGOs and NGOs and CBOs.

     Eight years Experiences with “CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF HUMAN RIGHTS At UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO” as a RESOURCE PERSONS AND COMMUNITY LEADER      [from 2003 up to 2011]

    Coordinate the URAGASMANHANDIYA EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE attached to the CENTRE FOR STUDY OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO.

    • Organize Community awareness Program of Human Rights, Child Rights, Women rights, Consumer Rights of people and Rights of Internally displaced People.
    • Coordinate IGO Officers like that Human Rights Commissioners, lawyers. Lecturers in the field of Political Science and INGO such as save the children & Sarvodaya.
    • Conducting the lectures on fundamental Rights, women Rights and Gender violence.
    • Facilitating and Managing the design, planning, implementation, Monitoring, and evaluation of community development plans.
    • Discover the Violating human Rights and fundamental Rights, and also other rights that were mentioned above.
