Professor Priyanka Weerasekara was educated at Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda and Currently she is working as a Professor in Sinhala, in the Department of Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. She is the Director of an Aesthetic Institute 'Arunalu Kalayathanaya' conducted under the Department of Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka. Professor Priyanka is a Professional Singer and Programme Presenter of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation and Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.
