    Profile

  • I am involved in integrated applied research, with specific attention on microwave remote sensing for disaster investigation. Especially, I am interested in landslide investigation through different change detection techniques and statistical image analysis by integrating radar and optical satellite images. Further, I am engaged in teaching multidisciplinary subjects as Remote Sensing, GIS, Construction Surveying, and Advanced Land Surveying.

    • Analyzing the Urban Heat Island effect and its relationship, behavior with the land surface cover change
    • To investigate the variations of aerosol optical depth, as an indicator of air pollution, over the Kandy area using remotely sensed data
