  • G.R.S.R.C. Samaraweera has joined to the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2006 after obtaining a First Class Honours for the Special Degree in Economics from University of Colombo. She received her postgraduate qualifications also from University of Colombo: Master in Economics in 2009 and PhD in Economics in 2015. Currently she serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Her main areas of teaching are Econometrics, Human Resource Economics, Economy of Sri Lanka and Advanced Micro Economics.

    She performs her administrative role as an Academic Sub Warden, a Student Counsellor and the Coordinator of BA General Degree Programme. Currently she is working as the Programme Coordinator in Economics and the Chairperson of Study Board in Social Sciences, Faculty of Graduate Studies. Sumadi served as the Secretary of the National Conference on Traditional Knowledge held in 2009 and a Coordinating Secretary of 6th International Conference of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2017. Currently she is working as the Secretary of Third Students Research Session, Faculty of Social Science and Languages and 7th Annual Research Session of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
