Vision
The Staff Development Centre of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SDCSUSL), being the prominent internal training provider for academic and non-academic staff members of the SUSL focuses on enhancing the quality of education of undergraduate students through professional development of staff in research, dissemination of knowledge, modern teaching methodologies, fostering managerial leadership and necessary soft skills to ensure a conductive academic atmosphere.
 
History

The Staff Development Centre of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka commenced the activities form April 1998. The aspects of importance have been adequately dealt by former Vice Chancellor, Professor Dayananda Somasundara. Professor S Sandanam, Mrs. C L Amarasekara, Dr. K K D S Ranaweera and Dr. Gamini Fonseka who are the past Directors of the Staff Development Centre. Professor Mahinda S Rupasinghe is holding the present Director position while Dr. Kapila Dissanayake serves as the Deputy Director.
