The Faculty of Management Studies, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is one the pioneering faculties thriving with numerous successes since the inception of the university. As the Dean of the Faculty, it is with absolute pride that I state the Faculty of Management Studies to be at its pinnacle of performance both in the local and global academic arena.

The faculty, being the university’s largest faculty with four departments, offers seven degree programmes, exclusively recognized across the globe for the benchmark academic exposure. Enhancing existing programmes and building new programmes, increasing the focus and integration of global and international competencies and experiences, the faculty has now ventured into offering exclusive postgraduate degree programmes (MBA and M.Sc. in Ayurvedic Hospital Management) in collaboration with the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The teaching faculty consists of academics who are highly qualified and areexperts in their respective fields, enthusiastic and engaged in a multitude of projects.

We are highly conscious about the excellence of the academic programmes. Therefore all our programmes are aligned with Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) and the subject benchmarks. Further, the Faculty has taken every necessary step to maintain the standard and the quality through the Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) which is aligned with the quality practices of the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (IQAU) of the university and the Quality Assurance and Accredited Council (QAAC) of the University Grant Commission (UGC).

The Faculty is dedicated to pursue an excellent teaching and research culture to deliver highquality education in a picturesque and peaceful environment for its students.  Therefore, during a comparatively short time, Faculty of Management Studies has been able to gain a wide popularity among the students as it goes on extending its tentacles introducing different job oriented degree programmes with high demand in diverse job markets. With dedication, enthusiasm and hard work, the faculty has been able to produce fully fledged graduates who are capable of addressing the requirements of the contemporary business world. I am certain with its present levels of performance; the Faculty of Management Studies will indeed become one of the greatest hubs of higher education in the world.

Wish you all the best!
