Main Libary | Agri Library

The library contains over 14,000 volumes and 15 periodicals. In addition it includes government gazettes and daily newspapers in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Library hours during weekdays are from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30p.m. Members can borrow three books for a period of two weeks from the library (depend on the academic year). Students are given the opportunity of obtaining photocopies for educational purposes from the library at reasonable rates. The library also has CD ROM unit where both staff and students can read CDs available at the library as audio visual aids for effective learning.

A major facility that the Applied Science library provides is the photocopying service. Permanent reference books are allowed to get photocopies from the library itself. Moreover the past papers as well as the notes can be photocopied for reasonable charges.

The library facilitates students using a limited number of computers with the internet facility. (Need authorization).

CD’s, which are attached with the books, are not allowed to take outside from the library. Instead the students can refer the CD’s by using the computers inside the Library. To borrow a CD, a student has to sign before take the CD and sign back to ensure the return of the CD.
