  Quality Enhancement Fund Grant ( QEF )
   
 
The premier feature of the IRQUE Project is the introduction for the first time in Sri Lanka a competitive funding scheme designed to enhance the quality and relevance of undergraduate study programs. This will address issues of internal and external efficiency, quality enhancement of learning/teaching, including relevance of current academic offerings, and thereby increase the employability of graduates.  
 
 

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences offered the study program of Agricultural sciences as a four-year degree program. Subjects under four sub divisions of Agricultural Sciences are taught in the study program. They are; Agribusiness Management, Export Agriculture, Horticulture, and Plantation Management. Special attempts are made in the study program to equip undergraduates with relevant knowledge and skills with a view of producing employable graduates.

 
   
Faculty of Applied Sciences
  Improving the quality and the relevance of the Applied Science Degree program in accordance with the national needs was the main objective of this project. To achieve these goal seven activities were designed to address the thirteen root-causes, which were the sources for many problems identified in the self-evaluation.  
   

Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages

 

The Faculty has been thus far, in the forefront of generating excellent graduates more relevant to the current changing job market, as a result of innovative courses that have given its products a comparatively high reputation in the contemporary world of today.
