Profile

Dr. DD Wickramanayake is currently serving as a Senior lecturer (Grade II) attached to the Department of Livestock Production, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Dr. Wickramanayake entered to the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2002 and graduated with BSc. in Agricultural Sciences in 2006 from the Department of Livestock Production, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. He had obtained his master and PhD from the Department of Animal Biotechnology, Graduate School of Konkuk University, South Korea in 2014 and 2018 respectively. His field of specialization is Animal Biotechnology and he conducts lectures related to Animal Genetics, Ruminant Management to the undergraduates of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.

1. From waste to animal protein; Black Soldier Fly Larvae (Hermetia illucens) production as a method of waste management and feed grade protein production

2. Some aspects of reprodcutive biology and captive breeding of ceylon killifish (Aplocheilus dayi) endermic to Sri Lanka
