Visit of JICA Team – Fact Finding Mission/Agriculture Data Collection

By the invitation of Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture sciences, there were three member team lead by Ms.Tamura Tomoko from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has visited and have cordial discussions with Dean of the Faculty Dr. Manjula PS Magamage and other Faculty on 6th March 2019 from 10.00- 12.00 pm. Both parties were discussed the most suitable project ideas in the field of agriculture and that JICA required to have priority during next round of human capital development projects in Sri Lanka 2020-2025. During this meeting Dean, faculty of agricultural Sciences and representatives from all three departments of the faculty were participated. The discussion was concentrated mainly on following topics.


Role of Japanese graduate Alumna members of Sabaragamuwa University. Dr. Manjula PS Magamage, Professor Achini De Silva, Professor Esham Mohommad, Dr. Kapila Dissanayake, Professor MLMC Dissanayake ( on Sabbatical Leave) and Professor Lal P. Vidana Archchi were among them.
