On going International Partnership in Enterprise Education
The University has been successful in developing a partnership with Durham University UK under the ‘Developing Entrepreneurship through Collaborative Programme Delivery’ supported by the British Council PMI2 (Prime Minister's Initiative).
The aim of the partnership is to jointly develop and teach Certificate and Diploma and also an Undergraduate module on the subject of 'Developing Entrepreneurship through New Venture Creation' at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

Development of Management Strategies for Weligama Coconut Leaf Wilt Disease
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has been successful in gaining a grant award to undertake a consultancy assignment to manage the weligama coconut leaf wilt disease. The research aims to develop appropriate management practices to manage the disease.. The research team from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences consists of Dr. Lal P Vidhana Arachchi (Principal Investigator), Dr. A.A.Y. Amarasinghe, Dr. D.M.A. Gunaratne and Dr. M. Esham.
